This vehicle-specific harness plugs into the factory connector plug on my Ram pickup truck without issue, and makes the electrical installation very simple. Where the harness falls short is in overall length. The harness is specifically designed to mount the brake controller on the lower knee bolster panel to the right of the steering wheel. I would prefer the brake controller to be mounted in the lower center console area, and the harness is not long enough to support that installation without cutting and splicing in additional wiring. I'm also concerned about the wiring that routes under the dash, because the sheet metal support brackets all have VERY sharp edges, and it's nearly impossible to find a routing path that completely avoids a sharp edge.
