When the boost needle starts to climb and your engine comes alive, you need timing control that keeps up with the power. Turbocharged and supercharged builds demand more than just spark, they demand precision. With a convenient dash-mounted control knob, you can fine-tune timing retard from 0 degrees to 3 degrees per pound of boost, for up to 15 degrees total adjustment, giving you the ability to respond instantly to changing boost levels. Built for drivers who push their forced induction setups hard on the street or at the track, this advanced ignition controller delivers confidence under pressure, the MSD 6-BTM Boost Timing Master.
Engineered for high-performance applications, the MSD 6-BTM Boost Timing Master combines multiple spark capacitive discharge ignition with an adjustable boost-based timing retard circuit to help guard against detonation. It delivers 110 millijoules per spark up to 15,000 RPM, produces 470 primary volts to the coil, and fires multiple sparks through 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation for improved combustion efficiency. The integrated Soft Touch Rev Control, similar to the 6AL Ignition, provides overrev protection and includes 3,000, 6,000, 7,000, and 8,000 RPM modules. Compatible with 4, 6, or 8 cylinder engines by cutting the red and blue wire loops, it accepts breaker points, amplifier, and magnetic pickup trigger inputs, operates on 12 to 18 volt systems with a 7 volt start, includes rubber shock mounts, and carries CARB E.O. approval.
