Engineered for dedicated race vehicles, the MSD 7AL-3 Ignition Control delivers high voltage output along with extensive adjustability through plug in modules, including an updated adjustable start retard for more precise cranking control. Supplied with multiple RPM and timing modules, it features a 3 Step Rev Limiter for burnout, staging, and overrev protection, plus a 4 Stage Multi-Step Retard system that allows independent timing adjustments for multi stage nitrous setups. An integrated RPM Activated Switch enables accurate control of auxiliary circuits, while a diagnostic trigger LED assists with troubleshooting.
Designed to fit the footprint of the red 7AL-3 mount, this ignition supports 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines, operates on 12 to 18 volt negative ground systems, delivers up to 50,000 secondary volts and 160 mJ of spark energy, provides 20 degrees of crankshaft spark duration, and is capable of 14,000 RPM at 14.4 volts with 6 amps at 6,000 RPM and 12 amps at 12,000 RPM, Part Number 7330, intended for racing use only vehicles.
