A programmable power setting allows users to select reduced output between 250 and 400 millijoules or enable the full 680 millijoule capacity via a dedicated activation wire or compatible software. When paired with recommended MSD coils, the system can generate more than 50 kilovolts of output while sustaining continuous 600 millijoule operation without overheating concerns.

The High Output version includes MSD 8280 coils, offered in red or black, featuring enhanced peak spark current, increased overall spark energy, and improved thermal efficiency. The Pro 600 is compatible with Holley EFI systems, GM LS platforms, and many other EFI-controlled engines. It can also be configured to convert certain distributor-based systems into coil-near-plug setups.
