The WSS sensor (wheel speed sensor), also known as ABS sensor, is mounted in the hub of the wheel and detects the speed of the vehicle's wheels. This information is transmitted to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which forwards it to various systems: ABS (Antilock Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System), GPS (navigation), Hill-Hold, Hill-Descent Control, Cruise Control.
