Attention: The return information listed below applies only to NAPA replacement parts, components and products outside of the automotive accessories category. Orders within the accessories category begin with ACC (ex: ACC-123456). NAPA believes in customer satisfaction. Within 30 days of receiving items purchased from NAPAonline, customers may choose to return:

  • Any new item in original packaging and condition.
  • Any used core, as long as it is shipped in the box that contained the new product. (What is a Core?)
  • Any item received in a damaged or defective condition.
  • Any item received in error.

Within 15 business days of NAPA receiving your returned item, you will be issued a refund for the original purchase price and applicable sales tax. Core credits will also be processed within 15 business days.

If the reason for your return was caused by NAPAonline or its business partners (i.e., damaged or defective items, wrong part shipped), we will cover the freight charges on the replacement items.

Returning Ship to Home Items to NAPAONLINE via UPS

Items purchased on NAPAonline.com and shipped to your home can be returned free of charge via UPS.

First, obtain a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) by contacting NAPA Customer Support.

They will give you the following options:

  • Printed UPS shipping label mailed to you.
  • Digital UPS shipping label emailed for you to print.

Next, return the items via UPS. Remember, your return items must be securely packed, preferably in the package that they arrived in. The package must have two labels attached. First is the RGA shipping label and second is the UPS (ARS) label that you will obtain from NAPAonline Customer Support. The combination of these two labels will allow proper shipping, billing, and tracking of your return to ensure you are credited quickly and properly.

Simply take your package to any location that has regularly scheduled UPS pick-ups. You may want to check with your place of employment to see if they have regular UPS pick-ups. Or, you can call 1-800-PICK-UPS (1-800-742-5877) or visit UPS.com

Participating NAPA stores can also process returns and exchanges of NAPAonline ship-to-home purchases. To find a participating store near you, use our Store Locator. The NAPA stores listed in the Store Locator should accept returns from NAPAonline purchases. A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) is not required for in-store returns.

Please note the distinction between NAPA Auto Parts stores and NAPA Auto Care centers. While NAPA Auto Care centers can service your vehicle with quality NAPA parts, ONLY participating NAPA Auto Parts stores can accommodate your return requests when provided with your NAPAonline order confirmation / receipt.

RETURNING BUY ONLINE, PICK UP IN STORE ITEMS TO A NAPA STORE

Participating NAPA Auto Parts store can process returns and exchanges of Buy Online, Pick Up In Store purchases with a valid receipt / order confirmation within 30 days of purchase. To find a participating store near you, use our Store Locator. The NAPA stores listed in the Store Locator should accept returns from NAPAonline.com purchases. A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) is not required for in-store returns.

RETURNING ITEMS PURCHASED WITH THE NAPA REWARDS PROGRAM

Your NAPA Rewards account will be adjusted based on what you actually returned at a participating NAPA location or NAPAonline.com. Points will be deducted at a rate of 1 Point for every $1 increment of the returned/credited amount. You will see your points and/or rewards deducted by the next day. If I have a Reward pending at the time of returning a previous purchase, your account will reflect the new adjusted balance, and the Reward will be inactive until you reach the 100 point level again.

A Reward applied to the original purchase may be credited back to your account. If you return a partial purchase, and the remaining purchase balance is less than $10, then NAPA will return the $5 Reward back to your account to be used at a later time. If the remaining purchase is greater than $10, the $5 Reward discount will remain applied, but the partial returned amount will be removed from your points balance.

If after earning a Reward you use the Reward on a new purchase, and then return all or part of the first purchase that earned the initial Reward, your next Reward level may reflect requiring more than 100 points, if the adjusted amount of the return/refund dropped you back to the previous Reward level.

Returning Used Cores

If you have paid a core charge from NAPAonline, you are eligible for core credit upon return of the old core unit.

To return a used core to a participating NAPA Auto Parts store, bring the order confirmation/receipt of your newly purchased part to the store along with the used core unit. Used cores must be returned to stores within 30 days of purchasing the new part. To find participating NAPA Auto Parts stores, use our Store Locator. All stores listed in the Store Locator should accept used cores for parts purchased from NAPAonline.com. A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) is not required for in-store returns.

Used cores tied to ship-to-home orders can be returned to NAPAonline via UPS, provided the new replacement parts were purchased at NAPAonline.com. For UPS core returns, you must first obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number and follow the steps outlined in RETURNING SHIP TO HOME ITEMS TO NAPAONLINE VIA UPS. Be sure to designate "used core" as the reason for your return. Before returning your core, be sure to drain fluids from the core and place it in a plastic bag to prevent leakage. Then ship the used core back in the box that contained the new product.
