This replacement transmission clutch brake helps restore proper driveline system performance. The brake allows the proper operation of the truck's clutch, slowing the input shaft's speed to enable smooth gear meshing within the transmission and preventing premature wear to gears or synchronizers (if so equipped). The clutch brake, a sacrificial item, is often replaced when worn, damaged or as a part of a complete clutch service.
