The ESCO Heavy Duty Stud Kleen for Trucks (Model 50172) is a dual-function tool engineered to clean both wheel studs and hub mating surfaces on medium and heavy-duty trucks. Contaminants (rust, corrosion, debris, etc) can cause the wheel to not be properly torqued onto the wheel face. This can cause uneven tire wear, the wheel to be out of balance, wheel damage and even potential wheel off situations. The ESCO HD Stud Kleen cleans the wheel/hub mating surface and studs which allows for accurate torque and prevents potential unwanted vibrations and seized rims. Designed to completely rid the rim, wheel face, stud threads, and brake drum of any debris, rust or contaminates that would affect the mating surface of the wheel assembly. Now designed as a two-part system, the tool consists of a durable metal housing and an easy-to-remove, replaceable stud and hub cleaning pads (Model 50176). Works on all medium to heavy-duty trucks, designed to clean studs up to 5 ¾ in. long.
