This patent-pending Dorman OE FIX release assembly eliminates the weaknesses in the Honda design that tend to cause the release to fail. The factory plastic handle tends to strip during cold weather, so we engineered a stronger and more reliable lever from cast aluminum. And instead of the comparatively fragile drawn plastic cable that connects to the door actuator, this upgraded cable is made from braided steel, providing much higher tensile strength, better temperature resistance and more flexibility.
