A two-step locking pin with a thicker seat top, longer seat stem and deeper receiving pin seat replace the factory sprocket's straight pin design, providing more secure engagement and stability during phaser actuations, eliminating the rattling typical of a malfunctioning sprocket. This cam phaser also has innovative oil wipers designed with twin sealing edges, an upgrade from the factory's flat wiper profile. The unique surface geometry seals oil much more effectively, enabling extended wiper life by spreading wear over twice as many sealing surfaces as the OE provides.
