On certain Subaru vehicles, when varnish buildup or a short circuit causes the torque converter clutch solenoid to fail, the dealer requires replacing the entire valve body assembly. This Dorman OE FIX automatic transmission control solenoid allows replacement of just the solenoid instead of the entire valve body assembly, saving significant expense.
