The catalytic converter on many Toyota Prius models has high scrap value and is an increasingly popular target of thieves, who also often damage surrounding components during a theft. This cat converter shield is designed to be an unobtrusive but very effective deterrent that can help prevent the high cost of replacing a stolen converter and repairing adjacent undercar components. Unlike many other anti-theft products designed for the Prius, ours requires no welding or special tools for installation. The precision-cut aluminum shield doesn't sit below the body line of the vehicle like heavier and more cumbersome devices that increase the risk of snagging debris, rocks, and bumps in the road.
