It is Nylon reinforced ( 1 1/4'' and 1 1/2'' only) and is resistant to mild chemicals and saltwater. This hose is primarily used for bilge pump intake and discharge. This hose is also used for diaphragm style hand operated bilge pump intake and discharge and drains. This hose uses 142 left hand thread cuffs.
