Over its rich, 50-year history, Walker Auto Parts has become a fixture in North Carolina, supplying quality parts to individuals, repair shops and industrial and municipal customers. Now with a third generation at the helm, the Walker family business continues to thrive and grow, providing exceptional service to customers well beyond its core area in The Triangle of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
Walker Auto Parts now includes 35 stores, covering a significant portion of the state. Its geographic area stretches from Asheboro in the west to the beaches at Morehouse City, and from Sanford in Lee County up to Warrenton near the Virginia border. The broad reach Walker has established over the past half-century both contributes to and reflects the success of the business.
Despite its growth into a formidable regional player, Walker Auto Parts remains a family-run business while operating under the NAPA AUTO PARTS banner. Lee Walker and Drew Walker, both grandsons of founder Harry Walker, Jr., have transitioned the business to a third generation of leadership. Still, their grandfather, who just celebrated his 90th birthday, continues to report to work daily.
That kind of commitment captures the spirit of Walker Auto Parts, one of hard work, persistence and determination. It helps the company fulfill its simply stated mission, to "Beat the Big Boys!" while operating with honesty and respect for its customers, employees and associates.
From the individual classic car enthusiast using Walker's machine shop to the municipality benefiting from a streamlined IBS, Walker delivers with unsurpassed service and expertise.
